In April and May 2010 HP introduced the LaserJet Pro P1102 family of printers and MFPs, which included P1102, M1212, M1214, M1217 and M1219 MFPs. Print speeds were OEM-rated from 18 letter-size pages per minute (ppm) to 19 letter-size ppm. Duty cycles were rated at 5,000 pages per month for the P1102 and 8,000 for the MFPs.

All models ship with 700 page yield starter cartridges. A small direct contact (DC) chip is located on the waste bin of both starter and 1,600 page yield replacement cartridges, and is required for correct printer operation.

The toner cartridges are nearly identical to the CB435A used by the P1005. However, externally there are several small differences that prevent the P1005/1005 cartridges from being used in the P1102 family.

Note: Cartridge SKUs are the same for all models used in all geographic markets with the exception of China and India.
